Postdoc Opportunity
The Renewal Energy Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (REMRSEC, http://remrsec.mines.edu/ ) at the Colorado School of Minesinvites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of inorganic synthetic chemistry. This individual will work within a large, interdisciplinary group seeking to design and create complexes that link silicon quantum dots (SiQD) into an entirely inorganic photovoltaic assembly. The individual sought will be responsible for the synthesis and characterization of the linked SiQD assemblies. This position is nominally one-year but may be extendable to two or more years. We seek to fill this position by the end of the summer, 2012.
The position requires a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering or closely related fields; experience in silicon chalcogenide chemistry is especially desirable. A technical background with characterization tools (XRD, TEM, Raman, etc.) is important as is a solid background in semiconductor physics and chemistry. Demonstrable oral and written communications skills, as well as an ability to work in a team setting, are required.
To apply, please submit: (1) one-page cover letter; (2) a full CV;(3) key relevant publications;and (4) four references. Email thesematerials to both Prof. Yongan Yang(yonyang@mines.edu) andProf. Mark Lusk (mlusk@mines.edu) in asingle PDF with the filename in the form of YourLastName-YourFirstName.
